Saw a picture on Pinterest and thought that I just had to try it since i've never really attempted to do any landscape work before.
By adding blocks of warm colors, I wanted to increase the vividness and intensity of the entire painting. Whenever you find yourself at stalemate or at the end of a tunnel, there will always be a light that will guide you to the place you desire. It is important to take a step back to find solitude in whatever you do as it is the guiding light that will give you hope. Doing so would allow you to see the bigger picture.
As a crazy neurotic perfectionist, it has been a fruitful year and I have to thank my friends for that. Without them, I would have never found out how much of a pessimist I am as well as how critical I am of myself. Though it is important to be critical of oneself, you’re just belittling yourself and pushing down your own self esteem. ‘Is this really the fate I am aiming for?’ I just thought to myself. Never taking a step back has certainly put me at a disadvantage as my mental state would never give me a break to really think about the task at hand. Always thinking that my work isn’t good enough and I could do so much better wasn’t a very good mindset. I didn’t love the works I did and always aimed to be the top. You could say that i’m a high achiever. Be it studies or what I love, I always want to be the best. However, it’s a pretty pathetic sight to see yourself fall and crash hard when you’re in a hopeless situation. Now I know how important it is to love my work and embrace every single one of my mistakes. It brings me another milestone to my goal and i’m learning something new everyday.
On another note, I FINALLY DID AN ARTWORK IN A DAY YAY.
